Hāliddikāni
v.l. Hāliddakāni.– An eminent lay disciple of Avanti.
Once when Mahā-Kaccāna was staying in the Papāta-pabbata near Kuraraghara, Hāliddikāni visited him and consulted him at length on the subjects treated in Māgaṇḍiyapañha (S.iii.9 f) and again on those of the Sakkapañha Sutta (S.iii.13 f).
On another occasion (S.iv.115 f) he questioned the elder regarding the diversity of sensations.
