Vijjā Sutta

1. Vijjā Sutta.– A certain monk asks the Blessed One about the meaning of knowledge (vijjā). The Buddha replies that the well-instructed noble disciple understand form, the arising of form, the cessation of form, and the way leading to the cessation of form … feeling … perception … mental formations … consciousness. S.iii.163.

2. Vijjā Sutta.– A certain monk asks the Blessed One about the meaning of knowledge (vijjā). The Buddha replied that it means knowledge of the four noble truths. S.v.429.

3. Vijjā Sutta.– Ten qualities, the possession of which makes a man’s accomplishment complete in every detail. A.v.12 f.

4. Vijjā Sutta.– Just as ignorance (avijjā) is in the forefront of all evil, so is knowledge (vijjā) in the forefront of all good. A.v.214.
