A village in Rohaṇa. There the Ādipāda Vikkamabāhu gained a victory. (Cv.lxi.16, 25). It was in the region called Atthasahassa, and Sirivallabha, who reigned over this district, made Uddhanadvāra his capital.
The village formed one of the centres of battle in the campaign of Parakkamabāhu I. (Cv.lxxiv.86, 113; lxxv.182.
