1. Sucarita Sutta.– The Buddha says, in answer to a question, that those who practise good conduct are born in the Gandhabba devā worlds, because such is their wish. S.iii.250.
2. Sucarita Sutta.– Those who practise good conduct are born in the Valāhaka devā worlds, because such is their wish. S.iii.254.
3. Sucarita Sutta.– There are four kinds of verbal good conduct. What four? Truthful speech (saccavācā), conciliatory speech (apisuṇā vācā), gentle speech (saṇhā vācā), wise speech (mantabhāsā). A.ii.141.
4. Sucarita Sutta.– Thus it was said by the Blessed One: “There are three kinds of good conduct. What three? Bodily good conduct, verbal good conduct, and mental good conduct. Iti.55.
