Paccāgamanīya Thera

An Arahant. In the time of Vipassī Buddha he was a ruddy goose (cakkavāka) dwelling on the banks of the river Sindhu. One day, seeing the Buddha travelling through the air, the bird offered him a sāla flower in its beak.

Seventeen world-cycles ago he was king eighteen times under the name of Sucārudassana (Ap.i.113).

He is probably identical with Punnamāsa Thera. ThagA.i.53 f.
