1. Nikata.– A lay disciple (upāsaka) of Ñātika. After death he was born in the Suddhāvāsa, there to pass away. S.v.358 f;D.ii.91 f.
2. Nikata.– One of several eminent elders mentioned as staying in the Kūṭāgārasālā in Vesāli. When the Buddha came there, Licchavī crowded out the place with all their retinues, and Nikata and his colleagues, desiring solitude, retired to the Gosiṅgasālavanadāya. A.v.133 f.
