Nānātiṭṭhiyasāvaka Sutta

Various devaputtas — followers of different teachers — come to the Buddha and sing the praises of their respective teachers: Asama praised Pūraṇa Kassapa, Sahalj praised Makkhali Gosāla; Niṅka praised Nigaṇṭha Nāṭaputta and Akotaka praised all three.

Veṭambarī makes rejoinder to Akotaka and Māra agrees with him, while Māṇava-Gāmiya sings the Buddha’s praises. S.i.65 ff.
