1. Mittasena Thera.– One of the eminent monks who took a leading part in the Foundation Ceremony of the Mahā Thūpa. Dpv.xix.8; MT. 525, 527.
2. Mittasena.– A thief (? vīhicora) who succeeded Sotthisena and ruled for one year (432‑33 A.C.) at Anurādhapura, after the murder of Sotthisena by Saṅghā. He restored some of the cetiyas and was slain by the Damiḷa, Paṇḍu. Cv.xxxviii.5 ff.
