v.l. Mahiṃsamaṇḍala.– A country, converted by the Thera Mahādeva, who taught the Devadūta Sutta there (Mhv.xii.4, 29; Dpv.viii.5; Sp.i.63).
The country is generally regarded as the modern Mysore.
