Khaṇa Sutta

The Buddha tells the monks that he has seen the sixfold hell where every contact at the six sense bases is painful and disagreeable. He has also seen the sixfold heaven where every contact is pleasant and agreeable.

The monks are indeed very fortunate to have this momentary opportunity to practise the holy life. S.iv.126.
