Kākadīpa

An island to the east of Sri Lanka. A part of the expeditionary force sent by Parakkamabāhu I to Rāmañña landed on this island, captured some of the inhabitants and brought them to Sri Lanka, where they were presented to the king (Cv.lxxvi.57). Kākadīpa may have been the name of one of the Andaman Islands.
