Brahmacariya Sutta

1. Paṭhama Brahmacariya Sutta.– The best practice is the Noble Eightfold Path. Its fruits are Stream-winning, etc. S.v.26.

2. Dutiya Brahmacariya Sutta.– The best practice is the Noble Eightfold Path. Its aim is the destruction of lust, hatred, and illusion. S.v.26 f.

3. Brahmacariya Sutta.– The Holy Life (Brahmacariyā) is not practised for the sake of deceiving people and cajoling them, nor for gain, honour, and fame. It is lived only for the sake of self-restraint, relinquishment, dispassion, and the cessation of suffering. A.ii.26.
