1. Bhāvitatta.– One of the two chief disciples of Sumana Buddha (J.i.34; Bu.v.26). He was the chief priest (purohita) in Sumana’s city of birth, and was one of those to whom Sumana taught his first discourse. BuA. 126.
2. Bhāvitatta.– A king who heard Paduma Buddha teach, and became a monk with a retinue of one billion. BuA.148.
3. Bhāvitatta.– The name of two Pacceka Buddhas. M.iii.69.
