Uddhambhāgiya Sutta

1. Uddhambhāgiya Sutta.– The Noble Eightfold Path should be cultivated to fully understand (abhiññāya), clearly comprehend (pariññāya), destroy (parikkhayāya), and abandon (pahānāya) the five higher fetters — lust for form (rūparāgo), lust for the formless (arūparāgo), conceit (māno), restlessness (uddhaccaṃ), and ignorance (avijjā). S.v.61 f.

2. Uddhambhāgiya Sutta.– The seven factors of enlightenment should be cultivated to fully understand, clearly comprehend, destroy, and abandon the five higher fetters. S.v.136.

3. Uddhambhāgiya Sutta.– The four foundations of mindfulness should be cultivated to fully understand, clearly comprehend, destroy, and abandon the five higher fetters. A.iv.459.
