Samaṇasaññā Sutta

If a recluse develops three perceptions of a recluse (samaṇasaññā): that he has come to the state of being as an outcaste, that his life depends on others, that he must now behave differently to others, that will bring to fulfilment seven conditions.

What seven? His behaviour is consistently virtuous, contented, without covetousness, ill-will, or arrogance, he is desirous of the training, he uses the requisites only to sustain life, he is energetic. A.v.210 f.
