Nirāmisa Sutta

On the joy that is physical (sāmisā pīti) or spiritual (nirāmisā pīti), the pleasure that is physical (sāmisaṃ sukhaṃ) or spiritual (nirāmisaṃ sukhaṃ), the equanimity that is physical (sāmisā upekkhā) or spiritual (nirāmisā upekkhā), the liberation that is physical (sāmiso vimokkho) or spiritual (nirāmiso vimokkho).

The physical aspect means the five strands of senual desire (kāmaguṇā) and the five sense objects.

The spiritual aspect refers to the absorptions (jhāna), quite detached from and aloof from sensual pleasures, or the cessation of lust, ill-will, and delusion in the Arahant who has joy, pleasure, equanimity, and liberation by reflecting on the destruction of the corruptions (khīṇāsava). S.iv.235 f.
