Nāgamālaka

A locality in Anurādhapura to the north of Sirīsamāla. Koṇāgamana Buddha taught the Dhamma there and twenty thousand people realised the truth. To the north was the Asokamālaka (Mhv.xv.118,153). In Nāgamālaka was the Silāsobbhakandaka-cetiya, and, near it, Thūlatthana built another cetiya. MT.355.
