Assutava Sutta

1. Assutavā Sutta.– The uninstructed ordinary person might well be repelled by the body, seeing its decay, but not by the mind or consciousness, which is like a monkey letting go of one thing only to grasp another.

The well-taught disciple is repelled not only by the body but by all the aggregates and wishes to be free from them. S.ii.94.

2. Assutavā Sutta.– From the friction of two sticks fire is born; if there is no friction there is no fire. Similarly, from contact feeling is born: if contact ceases feeling ceases. The well-instructed disciple knows this and attains freedom. S.ii.96.
